Fees & Appointments

How much is Counselling?

My fee is £60 for individuals per session.
I offer two discretionary low-cost/choose your own fee spaces, these are daytime Zoom appointments (low-cost slots are currently full, please email to be placed on my waiting list).

Do you offer counselling through insurance companies, employers and agencies offering Access to Work Support?

As a Professional Accredited Counsellor – yes to all three.
If you have private health insurance I can usually be paid through your insurer once an excess has been paid.
If your employer is willing to pay for your sessions, I am happy to invoice them.
Please ask your agency to contact me to check we can work together.

How long is a counselling session?

Counselling sessions with me last for 50-minutes.
Please also see Single Session Therapy and Coaching below.

What are your hours?

Tuesday to Friday, 10.00am to 7.00pm

Are you working face-to-face or online?

I offer a mix of face-to-face, Zoom or phone sessions. This means I can work with clients who are not local to me.

Face-to-face sessions are in Shrewsbury Town Centre in an accessible room at The Roy Fletcher Centre with parking nearby. I can also see clients in other areas of the West Midlands – Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Telford, Kidderminster and Worcester are some of the areas I cover.

How often and for how long is Counselling?

I often begin work with clients weekly then progress to fortnightly and monthly – you choose when to see me. Some clients see me for a short time, I also have clients I have worked with for some years, some clients end then return after a break – again, you choose – this is therapy on your schedule. I constantly review with my clients and there is never any pressure from me to continue therapy – you are in control. If I feel you will be better served by another therapist or another service – I will offer this information. If you begin working with me and decide I’m not for you I want to know – I’m privileged to love my job – it’s about making positive changes and feeling more comfortable going forwards.

How much is Single-Session Therapy?

Costs are £110 per one-off session of 90-minutes on Zoom or face-to-face. We will spend this time on specific issues you wish to bring and work through, staying focussed, working on beliefs and values and setting goals should you wish to.

‘Carla is an incredible listener who has helped me immensely. It was great to work with a ‘real’ person who helped me process and think in a safe space. She was great to talk to and the progress I made was immeasurable.’
