Do you need a listening ear, someone to talk to outside your immediate circle of family and friends, a way to work through the challenges in your life? Some areas where counselling may be helpful are low mood, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, lack of confidence, going to university, ageing, menopause, children leaving home, coping with illness, depression, anger and general feelings of being unable to cope with day-to-day demands.

‘It normally takes me a while to trust people and open up. However, even in my first session with Carla, I found myself discussing things with a comfort level of long-time, trusted friends. I also appreciate her genuine and caring nature, which makes all the difference in a therapy experience. She spent as much time as was needed with me to talk through my concerns and to explain the options available to me. I highly recommend Carla’s services and thank her for helping me to move forward.’
I help people get to the heart of what’s really bothering them. In my own life, I’ve been through good times, tough times and the best of times – for me the best are the times when life gently moves along without anyone noticing. Having spent 30+ years as a designer I have found my counselling skills are invaluable to those creatives who are finding life challenging, we can work together to free-up both your emotional and creative processes.
‘A bird sitting in a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not in the branch but in its own wings.’ In other words, You have the solutions to your problems and I will use my skills to help you unlock your answers. I am here for you with a wealth of complementary skills, email me now to see how I can help.
Devised by Carl Rogers, Person Centred Counselling is based on the assumption that a client seeking help in the resolution of a problem they are experiencing, can enter into a relationship with a counsellor who is sufficiently accepting and permissive to allow the client to freely express any emotions and feelings. This will enable the client to come to terms with negative feelings, which may have caused emotional problems, and develop inner resources. The aim is for the client to become able to see themself as a person, with the power and freedom to change.
