Are you experiencing challenges in your life or business (or both), do you need a listening ear, someone to talk to outside your immediate circle of family and friends? Some areas where counselling may be helpful are low mood, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, transitions in life, addictions, depression, anger and general feelings of being unable to cope with day-today demands. I listen with complete confidentiality, I will not judge you – my aim is to help you to find your own solutions.
I help people get to the heart of what’s really bothering them. In my own life, I’ve been through good times, bad times and the best of times – the best are, in my mind, the times when life gently moves along without anyone noticing.
I have trained in elements of NLP, psychology, transactional analysis, have certificates in Counselling Skills, Mental Health Awareness, Anxiety and Panic management and am a second-year trainee Person Centred Counsellor (DipCouns). I am a certified Help2Change Smoking Cessation practitioner, I hold an enhanced DBS (previously Criminal Records Bureau) certificate and have professional insurance. I am registered with the BACP.

Devised by Carl Rogers, Person Centred Counselling is based on the assumption that a client seeking help in the resolution of a problem they are experiencing, can enter into a relationship with a counsellor who is sufficiently accepting and permissive to allow the client to freely express any emotions and feelings. This will enable the client to come to terms with negative feelings, which may have caused emotional problems, and develop inner resources. The aim is for the client to become able to see themself as a person, with the power and freedom to change.
