Cyclamen, ongoing

I love Cyclamens and this one has been around for three years now, being painted each year.

The image with the bright blue background Cyclamen in a favourite bowl was painted in homage to a very special Canadian artist Mr Joseph Plaskett (his message) who has featured these plants in many of his own works. (See Joseph Plaskett’s work at Gallery 78)

Ditherington Flax Mill

My current collaboration is an ongoing project and group show at Ditherington Flax Mill in Shrewsbury, Shropshire UK, this is the oldest iron-framed building in Europe, derelict and at the planning stages of redevelopment. An exciting point to be involved with. The history aspect is wonderful and the opportunity to work with English Heritage is fantastic. My first piece of work for this goes on show in the Cross Mill building of the Flax Mill on 11th/2th September 2010 between 11am and 4pm.

The paintings shown below are acrylic and household paint on cotton canvas, 4′ tall x 2′6″ft wide.
